STEM Conexiones is a grant funded program that seeks to increase the retention rate of Hispanic and low-income students in STEM disciplines. The STEM Conexiones Mentorship Program is a component of the grant that offers students the opportunity to become involved in the STEM Community while receiving mentorship from faculty or mentorship from peers. Another component to the grant is the STEM Center, which enables students to have access to a designated to STEM counselor, STEM tutors, academic workshops, and as well as other beneficial resources. Hispanic and low-income students are encouraged to apply for the mentorship program and all students are welcome to use the resources provided by STEM Conexiones. STEM PEER MENTOR APPLICATION
Peer mentors will help students develop STEM related study and time management skills. Additionally they will foster a community of STEM students at Mesa College by exposing mentees to discipline specific workshops, scholarship and career opportunities, and research experience.
