Mesa2030 Comprehensive Master Plan

The Mesa2030 Comprehensive Master Plan is a high-level planning document that outlines our educational and facilities vision for the next 10 years. The plan was developed by a representative taskforce appointed by the Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Committee and was approved by the San Diego Community College District Board in May 2021.

Roadmaps to Mesa2030 Strategic Plans

Roadmap 1 | 2021–2026

Roadmap 1 established the first five-year strategic path toward achieving the Mesa2030 goals. It connected Mesa’s long-term vision with strategic objectives and collegewide progress measures, helping guide annual planning, resource allocation, and efforts across the College.

Roadmap 2 | 2026–2030

Roadmap 2 builds on the progress and lessons learned from Roadmap 1 while continuing to advance the same Mesa2030 goals. With an emphasis on focus, clarity, and alignment, Roadmap 2 establishes defined outcomes, clearer accountability, and consistent measures to better connect collegewide priorities with divisional and departmental planning.

Assessing Progress 

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness will maintain annually updated dashboards using the outcomes and measures identified in Roadmap 2. Data will be disaggregated across key metrics, where available. The Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Committee will use these dashboards to assess the College's progress toward achieving the Mesa2030 goals, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and inform annual planning and adjustments. Progress will be shared with the campus annually.
